Horses are natural foragers, which means forage is the foundation of every horse’s diet, playing a crucial role in maintaining digestive health, overall well-being, and natural behaviour. As natural grazing animals, horses are designed to consume small, fibre-rich feed throughout the day. Their unique digestive system depends on a steady intake of roughage to support gut motility, regulate stomach acid, and maintain a balanced microbiome in the hindgut.

Thunderbrook Hay Flakes must be soaked before feeding. Soaked: mix 1 part of Hay Flakes with 2 parts water. Let the product soak for approx 5 minutes to form a soft mash.
